| Obverse description | Rectangular proof field depicting a serene panoramic landscape rendered in coloured enamel, inspired by the Northern Song dynasty masterpiece 'A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains' (千里江山图). Rolling hills and verdant mountain ridges rendered in green and blue hues extend across the centre of the field, their reflections suggested in the calm, mirror-like water below. Several small boats are visible in the foreground waters, adding a sense of scale and tranquillity to the composition. The legend 中华人民共和国 (People's Republic of China) appears in incuse characters in the upper left, with the date 2023 inscribed in the lower right field. |

| Reverse description | Rectangular proof field presenting a richly coloured enamel reproduction of the celebrated Northern Song dynasty handscroll painting 'A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains' (千里江山图), attributed to the young court painter Wang Ximeng (c. 1113). The composition fills the entire field with dramatic blue-and-green mountains, expansive river valleys, pavilions, bridges, and clusters of trees rendered in vivid mineral pigment tones of cobalt blue, malachite green, and warm ochre, faithfully evoking the monumental scale and classical blue-and-green (青绿山水) style of the original work. The title inscription 北宋·千里江山图 appears in the upper right corner. The denomination 150元 is inscribed in the lower left field. |

| Additional information |
The "Qianli Jiangshan Tu" (A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains) is a Northern Song dynasty handscroll attributed to Wang Ximeng, painted in 1113 when the artist was approximately eighteen years old — one of the few works in Chinese history credibly attributed to a teenager working under imperial patronage. Wang died shortly after completing it, making this scroll essentially his entire surviving output. The painting became the basis for China's 2022 Lunar New Year gala opening sequence, which reignited broad public fascination with the work and almost certainly drove the decision to mint this issue.
