| 背面描述 | A finely detailed bust portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel faces the viewer in a three-quarter frontal pose, occupying the central field; he is depicted in traditional Indian attire with a draped shawl over his shoulder. An arc of Devanagari legend curves along the upper periphery, with the corresponding Latin legend arcing along the left and right periphery. The commemorative dates 1875 - 2025 appear in the lower field beneath the portrait. The mint mark M is struck below the date in the exergue. |

Issued to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Vallabhbhai Patel, who as India's first Home and States Minister oversaw the integration of over 560 princely states into the Indian Union between 1947 and 1949 — a process he accomplished largely through a combination of political coercion and negotiated instrument of accession, with Hyderabad ultimately requiring a military operation in September 1948.
