Reverse description A large Poinciana bloom (Delonix regia), the national flower of Barbados, is depicted in high relief at the centre-upper field, its radiating stamens rendered with fine detail. Overlapping the lower portion of the flower is a raised outline map of the island of Barbados, inscribed with the name BARBADOS. The denomination ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS arcs around the periphery in large raised letters, reading from lower left to lower right. The fineness inscription 500/1000 FINE GOLD appears in small lettering within the lower field, and a beaded border frames the entire design.
