| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing hair and delicate facial features. The laurel wreath is clearly articulated across the brow. An omphalos with a serpent coiled upon it appears to the left in the field. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered Sicilian gold coinage of this period, with a beaded border visible along the upper edge. |

| Reverse description | A Delphic tripod shown in full frontal view with three legs and a cauldron, rendered with crisp detail characteristic of Sicilian mint workmanship. A monogram appears to the right of the tripod in the field. The ethnic legend ΤΑΥΡΟΜΕΝΙΤΑΝ is disposed in two vertical columns flanking the tripod, reading downward on each side. The flan is irregular and the design fills the available field with minimal border treatment. |
