| Obverse description | Laureate and armoured bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, wearing a full curly periwig, the top of the head extending to the rim and bisecting the surrounding legend. The portrait is rendered in the elaborate Baroque style typical of late 17th-century Habsburg coinage. An ornate partial inner circle frames the lower portion of the effigy. The legend reads LEOPOLDVS D G ROM IMP S A G H B REX, identifying Leopold as Holy Roman Emperor and King of Hungary and Bohemia. |

| Reverse description | Two ornate Baroque cartouche shields displayed side by side: the Austrian arms (barry of silver and gules) to the left and the Tyrolean eagle shield to the right. An imperial crown surmounts the shields and divides the date above. Below the shields, the value XV is displayed in Roman numerals within a decorative rectangular frame. The surrounding legend abbreviates the titles Archidux Austriae, Dux Burgundiae, Comes Tyrolis, identifying Leopold's hereditary territorial dignities. |
