| 背面描述 | Central depiction of the Welcome Stranger nugget, the largest alluvial gold nugget ever recorded, discovered in Victoria, Australia in 1869, rendered in high relief with naturalistic surface detail. The legend AUSTRALIAN NUGGET arcs around the upper field, while WELCOME STRANGER 1869 curves beneath the nugget in the mid-field. The date 2019, weight denomination 1/10oz, and fineness 9999 GOLD are inscribed along the lower arc. The Perth Mint's P mintmark appears to the right of the nugget, accompanied by the designer's initials SD attributed to Stuart Devlin. |

The Australian Nugget series, launched in 1986, was Perth Mint's direct answer to the Krugerrand's dominance in the bullion market — and it succeeded by doing something no major bullion coin had done at scale: changing the reverse design annually. The one-tenth ounce denomination targets entry-level investors and gift buyers, a deliberate market segment Perth identified early. KM# 3065 is part of the 2019 annual release cycle, struck to .9999 fineness rather than the .9167 of its South African rival.
