The date 2019, weight denomination 1/10oz, and fineness 9999 GOLD are inscribed along the lower arc. The Perth Mint's P mintmark appears to the right of the nugget, accompanied by the designer's initials SD attributed to Stuart Devlin. |

The Australian Nugget series, launched in 1986, was Perth Mint's direct answer to the Krugerrand's dominance in the bullion market — and it succeeded by doing something no major bullion coin had done at scale: changing the reverse design annually. The one-tenth ounce denomination targets entry-level investors and gift buyers, a deliberate market segment Perth identified early. KM# 3065 is part of the 2019 annual release cycle, struck to .9999 fineness rather than the .9167 of its South African rival.
