Reverse description The Chinese sea goddess Mazu is portrayed seated in full frontal view upon a throne, wearing elaborate traditional imperial robes and an ornate headdress. Stylized ocean waves radiate symmetrically to either side of the enthroned figure, evoking her dominion over the sea. The Chinese characters '媽祖' appear to the right of the figure in the field. The legend 'GODDESS OF THE SEA' is inscribed along the upper border, with the denomination '15.000 Kip' displayed in a rectangular cartouche at the lower periphery.
