At centre-left, a traditional Hungarian sweep well (gémeskút) rises prominently, its long wooden arm and counterweight depicted in precise detail, alongside a weathered wooden livestock pen in the foreground. A large, low sun disc appears on the right side of the composition, evoking the vast, flat horizon of the Hungarian Great Plain (puszta). Horizontal striations in the upper field suggest cloud formations or the characteristic mirages of the steppe.
