| Reverse description | The rectangular reverse presents a serene, stylised landscape of the Hortobágy National Park rendered in low relief against a highly polished field. At centre-left, a traditional Hungarian sweep well (gémeskút) rises prominently, its long wooden arm and counterweight depicted in precise detail, alongside a weathered wooden livestock pen in the foreground. A large, low sun disc appears on the right side of the composition, evoking the vast, flat horizon of the Hungarian Great Plain (puszta). Horizontal striations in the upper field suggest cloud formations or the characteristic mirages of the steppe. The legend HORTOBÁGYI NEMZETI PARK is inscribed in the upper portion of the field, and the engraver's mint mark appears at the lower left. |
