背面描述 A bold high-relief left-facing portrait bust of Joseph Bech, the Luxembourg statesman and one of the founding fathers of European integration, depicted in a suit and bow tie with naturalistically rendered facial features and hair. The name JOSEPH BECH is inscribed along the lower rim in large Latin letters, while the dates 1887 - 1975, marking his birth and death years, appear vertically along the left side of the field. The portrait dominates the flan, rendered in a confident medallic style with a deeply mirrored proof field.

附加信息

Joseph Bech served as Luxembourg's Foreign Minister for over two decades and was one of the six signatories of the Treaty of Paris in 1951, which established the European Coal and Steel Community — the direct institutional ancestor of the European Union. This coin is part of a commemorative series honoring architects of European integration, each issue assigned a sequential number within the set. Bech's inclusion reflects his role in shepherding the Benelux customs union and pushing for supranational economic structures at a moment when postwar consensus was still fragile enough to collapse.
