| 背面描述 | A forepart of a griffin or eagle with outstretched wings occupies the central field, rendered in bold relief with spread feathers clearly articulated. To the left and right of the central device appear small star or rosette symbols, consistent with the civic types of Phokaia. The magistrate's name ΤΙΜΟΘΕΟΣ is inscribed in Greek letters along the lower exergual line, identifying this issue with the eponymous magistrate Timotheos. The composition is characteristic of Phokaian civic bronzes of the 3rd century BC. |
