Additional information

Ialysos, one of the three principal cities of Rhodes before the synoikism of 408 BC fused them into a single polis, produced coinage independently during this window. The city's mint output from this period is sparse, and the 1/3 stater denomination in particular survives in small numbers — most major collections hold only one or two examples. The weight standard follows the Rhodian-Milesian tradition, situating the city commercially within the broader eastern Aegean trade network of the late Archaic period.
