| Obverse description | Forepart of a winged boar advancing to the right in high relief, rendered in the archaic style characteristic of early Rhodian coinage. The creature displays a prominent open jaw with visible teeth along the dotted snout, a large eye, and elaborately engraved wing feathers sweeping dramatically to the right. The muscular forelegs are depicted in mid-stride, with fine incuse lines articulating the body surface. The flan is broad and irregular, with the design occupying the full available field. |
