| Obverse description | Kapros, the legendary boar of Laodikeia, depicted striding to the left with bristled spine rendered in fine detail. The animal is shown in a naturalistic style characteristic of Hellenistic civic bronze coinage. Below the boar, the EKTA monogram is prominently placed in the lower field, serving as a civic or magistrate's mark. The flan is irregular and the strike slightly off-center, as is common for hammered bronzes of this series. |
