| Descrição do anverso |
Helmeted head of Athena facing left, rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail characteristic of Syracusan die-cutting. The goddess wears a Corinthian helmet pushed back on her head, its bowl decorated with an incised floral or scroll motif, the cheek-guards framing her finely modelled facial features. Loose wavy locks of hair fall beneath the helmet behind the neck. The portrait is set within a plain circular border, with no legend on the obverse. |

| Descrição do reverso |
Full-length figure of Artemis standing left, depicted as a huntress in short chiton, drawing a strung bow with both arms extended in the act of loosing an arrow. A hound runs leftward at her feet, rendered in lively naturalistic style. The Greek ethnic legend ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΩΝ is inscribed vertically to the right of the figure, while the monogram or control marks ΦΙ and ΔΙ appear to the left, all in crisp Greek capitals. The composition reflects the accomplished engraving tradition of the late Syracusan mint during the Fifth Democracy period. |
