A hound runs leftward at her feet, rendered in lively naturalistic style. The Greek ethnic legend ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΩΝ is inscribed vertically to the right of the figure, while the monogram or control marks ΦΙ and ΔΙ appear to the left, all in crisp Greek capitals.
