| Descrizione del dritto | Central field dominated by the elaborate quartered archiepiscopal arms of Salzburg, surmounted by a cross and hat with pendant tassels on either side, all within a beaded inner circle. The crowned shield displays the characteristic Salzburg lion and other heraldic charges. The date 16-68 is divided at the base of the shield. The surrounding legend, rendered in Latin capitals, reads the full titulature of Archbishop Maximilian Gandolph von Kuenburg, identifying him as Archbishop of Salzburg, Apostolic Legate, and Prince of the Holy Roman Empire. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Two enthroned bishop saints, identified as the patron saints of Salzburg, Saints Rudbertus and Virgilius, are depicted facing one another in the central field, each vested in full pontifical regalia with mitre and crozier. Between them at the base is a detailed representation of a Salzburg church or cathedral facade. A laurel wreath borders the inner scene, and the value numeral XII appears in the right field. The surrounding Latin legend names the two saints as the patron saints of Salzburg. |
