| 表面の説明 | Confronted foreparts of a lion and a bull in high relief on an irregularly shaped flan, struck in the archaic Lydian style. The lion, facing right, is rendered with characteristic mane striations and open jaws, its powerful forequarters meeting those of the bull, which faces left with a pellet eye and striated body detail. The two animals occupy the full width of the die, their legs truncated at the lower edge of the design. No legend or inscription is present in the field. The vigorous, bold modelling is typical of the royal coinage issued under Kroisos at Sardis. |

| 裏面の説明 | Plain incuse square punch of irregular rectangular form, deeply recessed into the flan, exhibiting the characteristic surface texture produced by the hammered striking technique. The incuse is divided into two unequal compartments by a central raised ridge, a feature consistent with the standard Kroiseid reverse type. No inscriptions, symbols, or subsidiary devices are present. The rough, granular surface of the incuse field is a direct result of the hand-striking method employed at the Sardis mint. |
