| Obverse description | Two confronted male calf heads in high relief, their muzzles nearly touching at the center of the flan, rendered in the bold archaic style characteristic of early Lesbian electrum and billon coinage. The heads are depicted facing one another symmetrically, with prominent curved horns flanking the upper field and a single pellet visible between the horns above. The modeling of the musculature is vigorous and plastic, typical of the Archaic period workshop tradition of Lesbos. No legend or inscription appears in the field. |
