| Описание аверса |
Bare head of Sethlans (the Etruscan equivalent of Hephaestus/Vulcan) facing right, with finely rendered wavy hair swept back from the forehead and rendered in stylized parallel locks. The deity wears a close-fitting pilos helmet adorned with a crescent or wing motif, a characteristic attribute of the smith god in Etruscan iconography. The modeling of the facial features is bold and plastic, consistent with the artistic conventions of late Etruscan bronze coinage. A dotted border frames the entire design. |

The reverse field bears a centrally placed Etruscan inscription in three lines, flanked above and below by a pair of smith's tongs rendered in relief, the principal attribute of Sethlans. Below the legend, two additional symbols — possibly pincers or further workshop tools — are arranged symmetrically, reinforcing the divine association with metalworking and the forge. The bold, archaic rendering of the Etruscan letters and the tool emblems together form a highly distinctive reverse type unique to the Populonian Sethlans series. The coin is struck on an irregular flan with no border. |
