Beschrijving voorzijde Draped bust of Cardinal Archbishop Matthäus Lang von Wellenburg facing left, wearing a distinctive flat-topped cardinal's barrette; the portrait rendered in fine Renaissance relief with naturalistic detail to the facial features and clerical vestments. The date M·D·XXII is divided across the inner field, flanking the bust at mid-level. The circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy within a beaded inner border, with a small heraldic fleur-de-lis ornament visible at the base of the coin. The overall composition reflects the high-quality Renaissance medallic style characteristic of early sixteenth-century Salzburg coinage.

Beschrijving keerzijde Two seated episcopal figures, Saints Rudbertus and Virgilius, face one another in three-quarter view within the coin's field; Saint Rudbertus at left holds a salt barrel, his traditional attribute, while Saint Virgilius at right holds a model of Salzburg Cathedral, both saints depicted in full episcopal vestments including mitres and copes. Between the two figures, a tall processional cross or combined pastoral staff rises prominently. Beneath the saints, a detailed architectural representation of the city of Salzburg with towers and walls occupies the lower field. The circumferential Latin legend naming both saints runs within a beaded border encircling the entire composition.
