| Obverse description | Draped bust of Cardinal Archbishop Matthäus Lang von Wellenburg facing left, wearing a distinctive flat-topped cardinal's barrette; the portrait rendered in fine Renaissance relief with naturalistic detail to the facial features and clerical vestments. The date M·D·XXII is divided across the inner field, flanking the bust at mid-level.
