| Obverse description | The obverse bears a nine-line inscription in Roman capital letters within the field, with no central effigy, entirely composed of text commemorating the coronation event. The legend reads across multiple lines, naming Franz as King of Hungary and Bohemia, Archduke of Austria, and Grand Duke of Tuscany, and recording his election and coronation as King of the Romans at Frankfurt on 14 July 1792.
