Obverse description Hammered copper flan bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in the field, arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal rule. The legend, executed in bold Naskh script, bears the royal titulature of Sultan Muzaffar Shah III of Gujarat. The die-work is characteristically irregular, with letters crowding toward the flan edges, typical of mid-sixteenth-century Gujarati copper coinage. The surface shows natural green patination over a brown copper ground.
