The field is flat to slightly concave and exhibits the characteristic texture of a heavily circulated silver piece, with no legible legend or device remaining discernible. The scalloped edge, formed by the deliberate shaping of the planchet to produce this emergency coinage denomination, is clearly visible around the entire periphery. |
