| Obverse description | The Tanzanian coat of arms occupies the central field, depicted in high relief and flanked by two human figures serving as supporters: a male figure to the left and a female figure to the right, each resting a hand on the shield. The Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus) is native to southern Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Central Asia — it does not naturally occur in Tanzania. This is a straightforward wildlife bullion issue capitalizing on collector appetite for African wildlife themes, regardless of geographic accuracy.
