| Additional information |
The Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus) is native to southern Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Central Asia — it does not naturally occur in Tanzania. This is a straightforward wildlife bullion issue capitalizing on collector appetite for African wildlife themes, regardless of geographic accuracy. Tanzania has issued dozens of similar pieces under this format, most produced by European private mints on contract.
