Beschrijving voorzijde	Central vignette presents a portrait of José Francisco de San Martín, national liberator of Argentina, Chile, and Peru, rendered in intaglio against a multicolour guilloche underprint. The denomination appears in large numerals at left, with the issuing authority inscription arched across the upper portion of the note. San Martín's name and title are inscribed below the portrait.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The reverse carries an artistic vignette of the Crossing of the Andes, commemorating the historic military campaign that began on 17 January 1817, with the Sol de Mayo (Sun of May) motif positioned above the scene and a coat of arms device at the lower right edge. The composition is set against a detailed multicolour guilloche background. The denomination and commemorative inscriptions are integrated into the design.
