| Description de l’avers | The national arms of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic occupies the central field, depicting two crossed rifles overlaid by the national flag, surmounted by a crescent and star, and flanked by olive branches. A scroll at the base of the arms bears an Arabic legend. The circular legend reads REPUBLICA SAHARAUI in Latin script to the left and the Arabic equivalent to the right, with a star at the base. Western Sahara has no functioning mint authority and issues no currency recognized by any sovereign body — these pieces are produced by the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional or affiliated private minting operations, nominally attributed to the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic for marketing purposes. KM#91 is part of a flood of collector-targeted issues from the late 1990s bearing the Western Sahara name, a period when dozens of such pieces entered the market with no genuine numismatic infrastructure behind them.
