背面描述	A large intaglio-engraved battle vignette in blue-green occupies the central field, rendered in fine line work and portraying a melee of armoured cavalry and foot soldiers in the manner of a 16th-century imperial engagement, likely evoking the military campaigns of Carlos I. The note is printed in brown with an ornate scrollwork border incorporating quatrefoil corner ornaments, and the denomination numeral '1000' appears within a decorative cartouche at the foot.
