Obverse description	Multicoloured intaglio print with a vignette of an elderly Vietnamese man facing right at left, a temple vignette at right, and a central watermark space. A single signature appears at right; a black serial number and red control number are applied, and the GIẤY MẪU (Specimen) overprint is printed at the bottom. As a trial issue, all known examples carry the specimen serial number O.00 000 with a control number printed above the central watermark area.
