| Obverse description | Green Notgeld Gutschein printed on paper with a scalloped guilloche border frame, the centre occupied by the issuer's title in large Gothic blackletter script reading 'Stadt Kreuznach Gutschein über Eintausend Mark', with the city arms as a small underprint vignette behind the text. A letterpress panel below carries the redemption clause and the issue date 'Kreuznach, den 10. Nov. 1922', followed by the Bürgermeister's manuscript signature at lower right. A small architectural vignette of a civic building is centred at the foot of the note, flanked by the denomination numerals '1000' in each lower corner; the serial number appears in red at upper left and lower right. |
