The socialist coat of arms of the Romanian People's Republic occupies the centre, surrounded by a rich intaglio vignette of wheat sheaves, sunflowers, and foliate sprays in deep blue over a multicolour guilloche underprint in salmon and teal. The denomination "UNA MIE LEI" is repeated twice in the dark panel at the foot of the note, and an anti-counterfeiting warning text appears in a circular cartouche below the arms. The bank title is inscribed on a ribbon banner at top. |
