目录
| 正面描述 | The Zambian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting two supporters — a man and a woman — flanking a shield adorned with wavy vertical lines, surmounted by an eagle with spread wings. The date is split either side of the arms, '19' to the left and '98' to the right. The legend 'BANK OF ZAMBIA' arcs along the upper periphery, while the motto 'ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION' appears on the scroll at the base of the arms. The denomination '1000 KWACHA' is inscribed in large letters along the lower rim. |

Zambia's pattern coinages of the late 1990s occupy an odd corner of numismatics — pieces produced speculatively by private minting houses, often without a firm government commission, then submitted for approval that frequently never came. This 1000 Kwacha piece was struck in the months following Diana's death in August 1997, when the international commemorative market was flooded with proposals. The Bank of Zambia's pattern designation confirms it was considered but never authorized for general release.
The KM#Pn6 attribution places it among a small cluster of Zambian patterns from the same period, most sharing identical physical specifications.
