| Obverse description | At center, the coat of arms of Iceland depicted in high relief, featuring a quartered shield bearing the traditional cross design, supported by four guardians of Iceland (landvættir): a bull (ox) to the lower left, a giant (maður) to the lower right, a vulture (gammur) to the upper right, and a dragon (dreki) to the upper left, all standing on a rocky plinth. The arms are rendered in fine detail against a smooth field.
