Reverse description A finely modelled truncated bust of Sveinn Björnsson, first President of Iceland, in left-facing profile, rendered in a restrained, classical portrait style with close-cropped hair and a distinguished, aged physiognomy. The portrait occupies the central field and is executed with precise linear detail typical of medallic art. The circular legend around the upper and right portions of the rim reads 'SVEINN BJÖRNSSON FORSETI ÍSLANDS', with the dates '1944–1952' inscribed along the lower right, denoting his presidential tenure. A beaded border frames the design.
