| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark brown on a cream-toned paper ground, with an ornate letterpress border of interlaced rope-and-wreath motifs enclosing the central text panel. At the upper centre, the Ukrainian trident (tryzub) state emblem is set within a decorative vignette of crossed wheat sheaves and foliage, with the denomination numeral '1000' repeated in the upper corners. The central inscription reads 'БІЛЕТ ДЕРЖАВНОЇ СКАРБНИЦІ на ТИСЯЧУ ГРИВЕНЬ' in graduated Cyrillic lettering, with the year '1918' flanked on both sides mid-field; the lower portion bears signature lines for the Director and Accountant of the State Treasury, series and serial number, and a validity date panel reading 'Білет дійсний по 1 січня 1933 р.', with four detachable coupon stubs at right. |
