| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Cameroon occupies the central field, depicting a shield bearing scales of justice surmounted by a five-pointed star, flanked by two crossed fasces each topped with an axe head. The bilingual motto appears in the upper field in two registers: PAIX / PEACE to the left and PATRIE / FATHERLAND to the right, with TRAVAIL / WORK centered above the shield. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN runs along the upper rim, while the denomination 1000 FRANCS CFA is inscribed in large letters along the lower rim.
