The BCEAO issues commemorative silver under the authority of eight West African member states — Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo — though these pieces circulate nowhere and are produced entirely for the collector market.
