| Beschrijving keerzijde | The central design depicts the outline map of Benin superimposed over a stylized radiant sun, its diverging rays extending across the entire field in a dramatic sunburst pattern, symbolizing the dawn of democratic renewal. A horizontal band of parallel lines in the lower field suggests the horizon. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE DU BENIN arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by small six-pointed star ornaments at each side. The legend RENOUVEAU DEMOCRATIQUE curves along the lower periphery, also flanked by matching star ornaments, commemorating Benin's democratic transition of 1990. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Benin's CFA franc coinage from the early 1990s was produced almost entirely for the collector market — the country had no meaningful domestic coin circulation infrastructure of its own, operating instead through the West African Economic and Monetary Union's common fiduciary currency. The 1992 silver issues were struck under contract by European mints for export sale, bearing a denomination that had no practical purchasing relationship to the coins themselves.
