Beschrijving keerzijde A large intaglio vignette at centre-left portrays a monkey — likely a vervet or golden monkey — perched on a branch amid foliage, rendered in fine line engraving against a light blue and teal guilloche underprint. A large latent watermark circle appears to the left, and a geometric diamond-pattern panel occupies the right margin. The denomination is repeated in bold numerals at upper left and right and in a guilloche cartouche at lower right.

Opmerkingen

The 2004 series marked a deliberate rebranding effort by the Banque Nationale du Rwanda as the country worked to rebuild institutional credibility in the decade following the 1994 genocide. G&D's Leipzig facility handled the printing — the same plant that had produced currency for numerous African central banks throughout the post-colonial period.

The "Printed: 30.04.1945" field in the source data is clearly erroneous and should be treated as a cataloging artifact, not a genuine print date.
