Descrizione del dritto	Right-facing intaglio portrait bust of Hungarian composer Béla Bartók occupies the right side of the note, rendered with fine line engraving against a green guilloche underprint. To the left, a large oval guilloche vignette frames the numeral "1000" in bold relief, while the issuer name "MAGYAR NEMZETI BANK" and date inscription appear in the centre field above three facsimile signatures. A warning legend against counterfeiting runs along the lower centre, with the denomination repeated in a panel at foot.

Descrizione del rovescio	The central vignette, set within an oval guilloche frame, reproduces the sculpture "Anya" (Mother) by Ferenc Medgyessy, portraying a seated female figure nursing an infant — rendered in fine intaglio engraving in white relief against the green ground. Flanking the central oval are two large concentric guilloche rosettes each bearing the numeral "1000", with the denomination also repeated in large bold numerals at lower left and lower right. The designer and engraver credits — "MEDGYESSY FERENC FEC.", "VAGYÓCZKY KÁROLY DEL." and "FÜLE MIHÁLY SC." — appear in the lower margin.
