| Obverse description | Right-facing intaglio portrait bust of Hungarian composer Béla Bartók occupies the right side of the note, rendered with fine line engraving against a green guilloche underprint. To the left, a large oval guilloche vignette frames the numeral "1000" in bold relief, while the issuer name "MAGYAR NEMZETI BANK" and date inscription appear in the centre field above three facsimile signatures. A warning legend against counterfeiting runs along the lower centre, with the denomination repeated in a panel at foot. |
