Obverse description Central design features the coat of arms of the Republic of Artsakh, depicting a spread eagle with wings extended horizontally, bearing a shield on its breast charged with a traditional Armenian architectural motif; above the eagle's head appears a crown surrounded by radiating sunbeams. The arms are encircled by an inscription band in Armenian script reading the full name of the republic, with the name ԱՐՑԱԽ (Artsakh) prominently displayed across the center of the roundel. Two olive or laurel branches flank the date 2004 at the top of the field, and the denomination 1000 appears below the central device, with the legend in Armenian script along the lower border.
