| Obverse description | The central field displays the National Coat of Arms of the Republic of Armenia in high relief against a polished background, flanked on both sides by ornate decorative panels featuring traditional Armenian geometric and floral motifs in frosted relief. The Armenian legend ՀԱՅԱՍՏԱՆԻ ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ (Republic of Armenia) is inscribed in two lines across the upper field. The date 2015 appears in the exergue below the arms, and the denomination 1000 ԴՐԱՄ is inscribed in large numerals and Armenian script at the bottom of the coin. |

Armenia's Constitutional Court was established under the 1995 constitution, the country's first post-Soviet foundational law, adopted by referendum just four years after independence. The court's early years were marked by contested jurisdiction and political friction, particularly around presidential term disputes in the 2000s that tested whether its rulings would be respected in practice.
This issue belongs to a broader Armenian commemorative program marking national institutions, struck at relatively low mintages through the State Mint of Russia, which has produced much of Armenia's commemorative silver output since the mid-1990s.
