The 1000 Dram sits at a practical midpoint in the Armenian series — used heavily enough to justify the substrate upgrade, but not the flagship note that typically gets the full polymer treatment first.
G+D's Leipzig facility has produced Armenian banknotes across multiple series. The hybrid construction bonds a cellulose outer layer to a polymer core, which complicates counterfeiting attempts that rely on standard paper-chemistry tests.
