| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two football players in dynamic relief occupy the central field, one lunging with an outstretched arm and the other executing a kick toward a football between them, both figures positioned above a stylised ground line. The engraver's initials and fineness mark E.P.999 appear in small characters to the lower right of the central design. The circular legend XV CAMPEONATO MUNDIAL DE FUTEBOL E.U.A. 1994 runs along the upper and lower periphery, commemorating the fifteenth FIFA World Cup held in the United States. The reverse border is defined by a beaded inner rim. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
São Tomé e Príncipe issued this pattern ahead of the 1994 FIFA World Cup as part of a broader wave of small-nation commemorative programs that flooded the market in the early 1990s — most of which never progressed beyond pattern stage. The Banco Central had limited minting infrastructure of its own and relied on contracted foreign facilities, which partly explains why so many of these issues exist only as presentation strikes with no corresponding circulation release.
KM#Pn4 designation confirms pattern status; no regular-issue 1000 Dobras coin of this type entered circulation.
