| 正面描述 | The state coat of arms of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia occupies the upper central field, depicting a torch with a flame surrounded by a wreath of wheat sheaves tied with a ribbon bearing the date 29·XI·1943, surmounted by a five-pointed star. The large denomination numeral 1000 appears prominently below the arms, with the denomination rendered in four languages in smaller lettering beneath: ДИНАРА DINARA DINARJEV ДИНАРИ. The date 1981 is inscribed at the bottom of the field. The bilingual country name legend SFR JUGOSLAVIJA to the left and СФР ЈУГОСЛАВИЈА to the right encircles the design along the periphery, with a five-pointed star at the base. |

Issued to mark the fortieth anniversary of the Yugoslav Partisan uprising against Axis occupation, this coin appeared during a politically delicate moment — Tito had died in May 1980, and the rotating presidency that replaced him was already showing the strains that would eventually fracture the federation. The commemorative program that produced this piece was part of a broader state effort to reinforce a unified Yugoslav identity precisely when that identity was becoming contested.
