| Obverse description | Printed in orange on a polychrome underprint by intaglio and offset, the obverse is centred on an oval vignette containing a portrait of Pedro Álvares Cabral (1467/68–1520), discoverer of Brazil. The heading inscription 'REPÚBLICA DOS ESTADOS UNIDOS DO BRASIL' arcs above, while 'MIL CRUZEIROS / VALOR RECEBIDO' appears beneath the vignette, flanked on both sides by serial and print sequence numbers. A diagonal manuscript autograph of the anonymous conference official responsible for verification is present across the note face. |
