| 表面の説明 | The Polish national emblem, the White Eagle displayed with wings spread, rendered in high relief at centre of the field. The eagle faces dexter and is depicted with a crown, talons extended, against a plain field. The date 1988 appears flanked on either side of the eagle's lower body, with the mint mark below. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination ZŁ 100 ZŁ is prominently displayed in large numerals along the lower portion of the field. |

Trial strikes from the late communist period in Poland occupy a strange position in the catalog record — officially produced by the Narodowy Bank Polski for testing purposes, never released to circulation, yet clearly struck with enough care to suggest the parent issue was genuinely considered for production. The Greater Poland Uprising of 1918–19, in which ethnic Poles in the Poznań region successfully fought off German forces in the immediate aftermath of World War I, was a subject the authorities periodically found politically acceptable to commemorate, given its anti-German rather than anti-Soviet framing.
The nickel composition here distinguishes this trial from the issued commemorative versions. Fischer and ParM references both classify it firmly as a probe, not a pattern with altered design.
